Companies House Increased Late Filing Penalties

Companies House have recently issued confirmation of a significant increase to their penalty charges for late filing of accounts.

The new penalties will be as follows:

• Accounts filed not more than one month late has increased to £150.
• Accounts filed more than one month late but not more than three months late has increased £375.
• Accounts filed more than three months but not more than six months late has increased to £750.
• Accounts filed more than six months late has increased to £1,500.
  

The above changes will come into effect from the 1st February 2009.
